Event Description:
1860s Paris is topic for Nonfiction Book Club. The new nonfiction book club at Schreiner University will meet to discuss "The Judgment of Paris," by Ross King. "The Judgment of Paris" is a fascinating look at the rivalries within the Paris art community in 1860s Paris that would give rise to the French Impressionist Movement. Although a work of history, the lives of artists such as Manet and Cezanne read like a novel. The Nonfiction Book Club is sponsored by the Center for Innovative learning at Schreiner and is free and open to the public.
