On Line Chamber Directory Listing:
All members are listed on the Internet. Linking to your website and/or email and advertising opportunities are also available. Advertising on-line or in Chamber publications is not available to Out-of-County lodging members.

Referrals from the Chamber:
The Chamber staff, through telephone inquiries, Visitor Center walk-ins and Internet inquiries, makes referrals, whenever possible to chamber members only, with the exception of Out-of-County lodging members. Members can provide the Chamber with a business description which further aids us in making referrals. The Chamber encourages all members to patronize other members. It's a way to ensure that business stays "all in the family". The Chamber receives thousands of phone calls, emails, letters, and walk-in visitors who ask where to buy certain products and services.

Promotional Brochures
Chamber members are given one business brochure slot (4" x 9") in the Visitor Center in which to place their brochures for distribution. The Visitor Center receives an average of 50,000 walk-in guests a year. Note: No Out-of-County lodging brochures will be permitted in the Visitor Center.

Networking Opportunities:
Who you know does make a difference! Regularly scheduled membership functions provide forums for making business contacts and to help your business grow. These include business mixers, business breakfasts, committee meetings and other events. Come join us or sponsor a Fun-After-Five mixer and introduce your fellow members to your business!.

Calendar of Events Listings:
Chamber members may post their upcoming events on the chamber website Calendar of Events page as well as in the Annual Calendar of Events which is distributed in the Visitor's Center throughout the year. The calendar is a highly requested piece of information and a great way to promote your annual event.

Ribbon Cuttings:
Upon request, members receive a ribbon cutting hosted by the Chamber Ambassadors and publicized by local media as well as Chamber promotion material.

Newsletter:
All members receive a copy of the monthly newsletter. All new members are listed in the newsletter. Members may place a business flyer insert in the newsletter for $100. The Chamber will include up to 6 inserts per month.

Access to Membership Lists & Labels:
Chamber members may purchase Membership lists at $100 for a printed list or $200 for mailing labels.

Relocation Packets:
The Chamber receives between 40-50 requests for relocation information every month. For $50 a month, you can provide a single sheet 8 ½" x 11 insert for the Chamber Relocation Packet

Coffee Bar Sponsorship:
Sponsor the coffee in the Visitor Center for $100 per month. Your sponsorship and your brochures are displayed in the front lobby adjacent to our public-access computers.

Familiarization Tours:
Chamber members may participate by providing lodging, meals, passes, tours, etc. for travel writers and tour operators. Please ask about this program.

Gillespie County Leadership Program:
This program is co-sponsored by the Gillespie County Economic Development Commission and the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce. It is the intent and purpose of this Leadership program to allow interaction of Gillespie County men and women in a learning process to develop leadership qualities and explore local issues and needs. Leadership Gillespie County is designed to provide skills and information for participants to become more effective community members.

Workshops and Seminars:
Chamber seminars and workshops offer expert advice on such business topics as customer service, business plans, financing, computers and entrepreneurship, to name a few.

Economic and Demographic Information:
The Chamber, in conjunction with the Gillespie County Economic Development Commission, (link) serves as a reference point for members when they seek the latest statistical trends for business planning purposes.

Small Business Administration:
One-on-one, personalized business planning sessions, with trained business counselors, offer guidance and options on marketing, finance, establishing or updating a business plan, as well as providing business resources, support and education for small business, including workshops and possible loan assistance.

Business/Government Advocacy:
The Chamber strives to create a strong local economy to keep our business momentum moving forward. We are a respected voice in the community and we promote a good public image for business as well as a positive, healthy business environment on all levels - locally, statewide, nationally & internationally. The Chamber takes care of politics so you can take care of your business, to hold the line on taxes and government interference. It carries the opinions of its members to elected officials, as well as monitors legislative issues that impact the business community.
