The Cave Creek Historic School and the Rheingold Historic School are located on the year-round Gillespie County Rural Schools Trail.  The schools are on the National Register of Historic Places.  Former students and community docents will be available to share and reminisce school stories from the past.  A driving map to all of the schools is available online or at the Fredericksburg Visitor Information Center located at 302 E. Austin.
