The premier housing event of the year, the Hill Country Builders Association (HCBA) Parade Home Tour, will take place the last two weekends in October. Security State Bank & Trust is the proud sponsor of this year’s event.
“Security State Bank & Trust is rooted in the Hill Country and the building industry is such an economic force in our 10 Hill Country banking centers, we cannot imagine a more perfect partnership,” said Jeff Bingham, vice president of Security Bank & Trust branch in Marble Falls.
October is wine month in the Texas Hill Country and we hope that our Home Tour visitors will enjoy visiting our nine Winery Partners this year as enhancement to their Home Tour experience. Homes will be open from 10:00A – 6:00P Friday, October 18th – Sunday, October 20th and Friday, October 25th through Sunday, October 28th. The casual lifestyle, wonderful fall weather, Hill Country home design, architecture and settings will be a memorable way to spend either weekend in late October. The Parade Home Tour will feature nine, locally built custom homes ranging from $350K to $1M in value with settings on golf courses, waterfront, ranch retreat and in town charm and convenience.
“Hill Country housing is unique, not only in appearance with our iconic design and materials, but the quality and craftsmanship is still old style – one at a time custom built home, mostly with local artisans who live in the same neighborhood and support the communities they are work in,” explains John Winsborough, 2013 President of the Hill Country Builders Association. “We are proud that every participant, every advertiser and every volunteer is a member of the HCBA and takes pride in giving back to the industry.”
Additional sponsors in the Parade Home Tour include BMC Building Materials, C&D Home Products Studio, Coldspring Residential, Bath & Kitchen Showplace/Moore Supply, and ProBuild. These companies support this premier housing event once a year as an opportunity for Hill Country residents to see the best that the building industry has to offer not only in Builder craftsmanship but in cutting edge products, latest design trends and technology as well. All homes will be furnished, decorated and landscaped by local Builder partnering companies.
The communities of Burnet, Fredericksburg, Kerrville and Kingsland will all have homes featured on this year’s tour. Tickets will be available for sale for $10 per weekend and include a full color magazine detailing all the home entries as well as a map. Entire event tickets are available for $15 to come and go as many times as you would like over the 6 days of the event. Ticket purchase locations in October will be at all Security State Bank & Trust locations, at the HCBA offices in Marble Falls and at the homes during the event.
