At Ave Maria Hospice we believe in compassionate care with God's healing grace for persons at the end of life. We seek to relieve pain and ease suffering holistically for our patients and their families by providing tender care. Our concentration is on comfort, not cure, compassion, respect, and competence. We consider it an honor and a privilege to serve others as they make the transition into the arms of a merciful Lord. At Ave Maria Hospice we embrace God's healing spirit and reverence for the dignity of death with love and support. Services provided: Nursing - Nurses are available 24-hours a day; Medical Director - Manages overall care of patients; Physicians - Available for consultation about hospice care; Social Worker - Assists with grief support, bereavement, and depression; Chaplain - Offers spiritual counseling, prayer, and sacred rituals - such as anointing, reconciliation, and last rites. Assists with funerals and memorial services; Home Health Aides - Provides assistance with personal care needs (i.e. bathing, skin and hair care); Volunteers - Provides respite and relief for the patient's caregiver. Provides emotional support to the patient and family.
