Methodist Hospital Hill Country, formerly Hill Country Memorial, was founded in 1971 as a small, rural hospital in Fredericksburg, Texas, with only 20 beds. Over the last fifty years, our hospital has grown into a comprehensive healthcare center, serving the Texas Hill Country area with a range of medical services, including emergency care, cardiology, gastroenterology and orthopedics. By joining the Methodist Healthcare family, we will provide a full network of connected care, while still offering the same individualized attention focused on developing close relationships with our patients.
We feel personally responsible for every life that begins here, and every life that is saved or enhanced in our system of remarkable care.

Fredericksburg Academic Boosters began in 1994 with a small group of people who wanted to make a difference in the lives of children in our community. The mentoring program was born with 40 students in the 3rd grade at Fbg Elementary School, Stonewall Elementary and St. Mary's. The program has grown to serve approximately 100 students in the four public schools. FISD has partnered with us to make the program successful. In the schools, FAB sponsors the Blue Ribon Billie program at FMS and FHS, which recognizes students for individual improvement in four categories, School Achievenment, Citizenship, Attendance and Helping Hand. Students are selected quarterly from nominiations by teachers and staff. FAB also supports several programs through FISD, such as iOpener, Second Step at FES and a drawing trip to the SA for FMS art students. FAB also administers a unique, extensive scholarhsip program to graduates of Fredericksburg High School. The local committee reviews applications for financial need, the ability to be successful in college and the desire to obtain a college degree. FAB is currently supporting 16 students in college.

Our vision is to provide services that break the cycle of domestic violence, giving individuals hope and healing. Our mission is to provide housing, food, and resources to those impacted by domestic violence as well as educate and aid those in how they can receive additional help to remove themselves from violent domestic environments. The Grace Center of Fredericksburg is currently developing a capital campaign. Our goal is to raise the funds necessary to build a shelter where those who have been impacted by domestic violence can seek shelter from their abuser.
