Soon the school year will begin and the Chamber will open the application period for the iOpener Class of 2018! The mission of iOpener, a youth leadership program sponsored by the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce, is to empower high school students (grades 9-11) with the skills, community connections and opportunities necessary to ensure their roles as active, educated and responsible citizens.

 

Applications will be available for pick-up in the Main Office of Fredericksburg High School beginning the first day of school. Completed applications should be returned to the Main Office no later than Wednesday, September 6 by close of the school day. All applicants will be notified VIA EMAIL of acceptance by September 13.

 

The iOpener program meets monthly (except for December), September through April. Students are also expected to put their leadership skills into practice through the completion of a class project to benefit the community.
