Weaver Technologies needs a Accounting Specialist with strong organizational skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, a track record of accuracy and attention to detail in a busy office environment. The right candidate will have the ability to adapt to our fast-paced work environment.
The Bookkeeper should be highly organized, have excellent project management skills, and excellent communication skills.
Conduct and process all day-to-day accounting transactions, including invoicing and journal entries
Reconcile all accounts for accuracy
Perform audits on purchases and sales orders monthly
Process all bills for payment and prepared accounts weekly
Assess all credit card disputes and prepare all appropriate bills and statements for clients
Manage all data, administer appropriate coding and update information in the processing system
Assist Controller and investigate all issues for account receivables and payables
Manage all overdue accounts and identify all risk accounts and ensure timely collection of the same
Manage cash and check deposits for banks daily, if local
Agree with vendors and prepare documents for all credit and back orders
Aiding the accounting departments in the daily, monthly, and yearly activities including generating financial reports, developing budgets, preparing taxes and assisting with audits, and resolving discrepancies
In addition to the preceding list of responsibilities, there are unpredictable tasks that arise on a day-to-day basis. As a member of the team, you may encounter times when you put the team above the individual and be asked to take on additional tasks & responsibilities. A quality candidate would pursue those tasks with the same passion, care, and attention to detail as they do every other task.
At least 3+ years prior experience as an Accounting Specialist or similar role and/or a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
Basic computer skills with knowledge on how to manage bookkeeping/accounting software
NetSuite experience a plus
Strong mathematical and research skills
Time management, communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to comprehend accounting principles and current financial legislation
High attention to detail and accuracy, strong interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data
