Human Resources Generalist
About the Role:
The bilingual Human Resource Generalist will be the point person for Human Resources (HR) at Fischer & Wieser. The HR Generalist will have a broad range of responsibilities including talent attraction, hiring, training and development; employee engagement and performance; compensation and benefits; HRIS & payroll administration, compliance; and health and safety. You will also support company managers and leaders in making people-related decisions.

The HR Generalist’s day-to-day priorities and responsibilities will be shaped by the needs of the organization and will vary in scope and impact. From administrative support to project/program design, you will have opportunities to advance your knowledge and apply your unique skills.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitates and safety training, mandated training, professional licensure, training, and certification.
• Collaborates with departmental managers to recruit, interview, and guide the hiring of qualified job applicants.
• Implements new hire pre-employment requirements, orientation, and employee recognition programs.
• Maintains human resource programs including compensation, benefits, and leave; employee relations; performance management; productivity, recognition/morale; health/safety; and training.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must speak and read both English and Spanish.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related
• At least one year of human resource management experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
• SHRM certification a plus
