Job Description
As a Logistics Team Member, you will be responsible for assisting the Logistics Team with completing tasks and projects, such as researching shipment transit rates, preparing BOLs, and coordinating product shipments and distribution.

The GMS Industrial Supply and American Patriot Family of Companies works to supply the Department of Defense with products and services it needs to remain operational. To help our effort to support the Warfighter, we are hiring motivated logistics team members in the Willow City, TX and Fredericksburg, TX area. As a leader in defense industrial distribution, GMS and American Patriot have been front runners in the development of mission-critical manufactured items for the Department of Defense. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Logistics Team to ensure tasks and projects are completed and documented in a timely manner
Routinely check the status of shipments, ensure they are promptly updated in the system, and communicate any potential issues with the Logistics Team
Work to resolve any logistics issues that may arise
Prepare necessary paperwork and labels for outgoing shipments
Work with the Warehouse Team to coordinate shipments (shipment dates, times, etc.)
Assist the Purchasing Team by coordinating delivery of orders
Assist with researching shipment inquiries; effectively communicate findings to the all necessary parties and help resolve any arising issues
Research, evaluate, and identify the most efficient and cost effective shipping methods for shipments
Assist the team with other duties and projects, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Punctuality
Fluent in English
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to self-start and work independently
Cold-calling skills are a plus
Experience with programs, such as SAP and NetSuite are a plus
