Stormwater/Vegetation Management Department Apprentice Arborist
Duties include mowing, tree trimming, tree care and replacement, herbicide application, erosion control, street sweeping, and drainage related capital improvement projects. Water Department Journeyman Electrician
Maintenance of city owned wells, pump stations, lift stations and wastewater treatment plant, electrical electrical installation and repairs at all city owned buildings, assistance with utility construction and miscellaneous tasks. Water Department Crew Worker
Assists in the operation, maintenance and construction of the water and wastewater systems, install water and wastewater lines. repair leaks and broken lines, install, replace and remove water valves and water meters and unstop wastewater lines. Requirements include a Class B CDL with tanker endorsement, Class D Water Operator License and a Level 1 Wastewater Collection License, or the ability to acquire said certifications/license within six months of hire. Staff Engineer
Performs civil engineering design work using Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), direct and monitor construction projects/programs and maintain the city's Geographic Information System (GIS). Setting goals and priorities for subordinate employees. Broad and general oral and written instructions will be received and methods for accomplishing will be at the discretion of the individual, who may vary them to the extent allowed in the professional requirements for job accomplishment. Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field, and be a certified engineer in Training in the State of Texas, or able to obtain certification within twelve month of hire.
