The Hill Country Memorial Wellness Center has more than 20,000 square feet of space devoted to strength training and cardiovascular fitness equipment, including an indoor Olympic-size fitness pool and a warm-water therapy pool. The center offers personal trainers, group fitness classes, weight training, massage therapy, nutrition consulting and youth programming. Daily and monthly memberships are available. The Hill Country Memorial Wellness Center’s registered dietitians offer nutritional counseling on food and portion decision-making, meal and menu planning, cooking techniques, label reading, and goal-setting. A doctor’s order is not required for nutritional counseling, and appointments can be made throughout the week.
In 2000, I began my medical practice in Colleyville, TX, taking care of people in a busy family practice clinic, while volunteering as medical director of a low income clinic in Grapevine, TX. My interest is in nutrition, metabolism, weight management & women’s health issues. Many problems I have taken care of as a family doctor directly stem from excessive weight or improper nutritional needs. I have obtained training in nutrition, metabolism & weight management and look forward to helping patients who need direction on their journey to better health. Women’s health is another area that is constantly developing and changing, and I enjoy the challenge of keeping up with the latest advances.
