We believe it's important to think and act locally. By this we mean, whenever possible buy locally grown and produced foods for your table. When you support your independent, local farms, you not only help your environment, but the planet as a whole. Reducing transportation emissions and excess packaging, makes a difference for the environment and for our bodies. More importantly, nothing tastes quite as good as something picked and prepared fresh the very same day! Whether you're a local or a visitor, if you haven't made your way to our market yet this season, now is a great time to stop by and support our local farms! Our market is held on Thursdays, May - September, from 4:00 - 7:00pm. We're located at Marktplatz Kinder Halle.

As a member of the Council, the grower subscribes to a retail Code of Ethics, dedicated to building his business upon your confidence. Fredericksburg and Stonewall peaches are grown in soil with lots of minerals and micronutrients, which makes the flavor content more complex. The day to night temperature variation, because of the altitude here in the Hill Country, helps make the sweet flavors more intense. These are the best peaches grown in Texas by fact and choice. Ripening dates of predominant varieties are from mid-May through early to mid-August. Some growers have other fruits and vegetables as well. Look for roadside stands and pick-your-own signs in the Fredericksburg and Stonewall area.
