The Chamber exists to serve its members, who collectively have a powerful voice.

 

BROADBAND

In 2022, the Chamber was successful in advocating for a significant fiber installation project by the City of Fredericksburg. We are pursuing additional opportunities for connectivity improvement, expansion and resiliency throughout Gillespie County.

 

GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS

Our newly-created Governmental Affairs committee will soon launch a legislative briefing email to create awareness of issues that may impact your business.

 

CANDIDATE FORUM

An informed vote is the best vote. The Chamber hosts an annual forum to allow our members, and the community at-large, to hear the ideas and priorities of candidates for local elected bodies. Attend in-person or view the livestream on FBG.live in real time or on-demand.

There’s no better place to meet your business peers and make connection than the Chamber.

 

FUN AFTER FIVE MIXERS

Our mixers, held six times a year, are one of our most popular member events, with an average attendance of 200. Network in a casual setting with light bites, beer and wine. To learn more about hosting a mixer or being a co-sponsor, email candice@fbgtxchamber.org.

 

CHAMBER GOLF TOURNAMENT

Our tournament is far more than a round of golf! It’s about connecting people and having fun. Plus, there is great food, libations, and many prizes. 

 

CHAMBER BANQUET & AWARDS

Our largest gathering of members is our annual banquet, held the first Thursday of March. We honor outstanding individuals and organizations, along with an action-packed program.

The incredible Chamber Ambassadors, wearing their signature red, are our premier volunteers. They help with all Chamber events, conduct ribbon cuttings, call on members and represent our brand.

The Chamber conducts an annual Wage & Benefit Survey to help you benchmark your compensation strategy in a competitive labor market.

 

CHILDCARE INFO

Your dues help fund our efforts to retain and expand local childcare availability. We work with childcare providers to lower barriers and collaborate programming. And, we provide information regarding availability, funding assistance and transportation options to share with your employees.

Your dues also help fund important work to align local education offerings with the needs of present-day employers.

LEADERSHIP GILLESPIE COUNTY

For more than 30 years, Leadership Gillespie County has taken leaders behind-the-scenes for a deep dive look at key area of our community and the people, places and programs that make things happen. Our class members put their leadership into action through the implementation of a class project. The impacts of this program and its nearly 600 alumni are seen throughout the community.

Each school year, twenty high school students are selected to learn leadership best practice and use their skills to accomplish a class project during the school year.

Our Chamber Magazine serves as the official Gillespie County relocation guide. We also provide relocation packets to dozens of prospects each year.

 

LIGHT THE NIGHT CHRISTMAS PARADE

Downtown Fredericksburg celebrates light, community and the Christmas spirit on the first Friday in December with the Light The Night Christmas Parade, proudly presented by H-E-B and produced by the Chamber. This night parade is live-televised on CBS Austin and attracted a record 24,000 in-person attendees and more than 150 illuminated entries.
